January 2019-In response to the actions of the Maine Legislature, MAR continued to obtain sponsors for another bill to make the Cost-of-Living Adjustment to the Maine Public Service Retirement Pension for State and Teacher retirees is a sole contractual commitment. LD 1104: An Act To Clarify the State’s Commitment Concerning Certain Public Service Retirement Benefits was sponsored by Representative Michelle Dunphy of Old Town with nine (9) co-sponsors.
